Kuririn and Gohan leave the battlefield to find the Dragon Balls, and Vegeta leaves Goku to fend for himself against Jees and Ginyu. The Captain asks Goku to show him his full power and Goku complies, sending a wave of fear through his opponents.

This episode was pretty mediocre as far as dialogue, dubbing, and such are concerned. Not too good, not too bad.

We were introduced to Buruma's new voice here, which a lot of people are VERY unhappy with, saying that she sounds like a valley girl. Yeah, I don't like it all that much either. Lalainia at least gave the character a certain amount of intelligence and sympathy. This one doesn't sound all that bright at all, and she puts the bitchiness into hyper overdrive, something that was already a problem with Lalainia. Unfortunately, neither of them ever managed to get the range that Hiromi Tsuru did. She could be intelligent and bitchy, but she also had a maturity and a kind of sweet innocence that neither of the NA actresses have even approached.

Why am I writing so much about Buruma's voice? Oh well, let's get on with the episode.

Another "alternate" line of dialogue! Vegeta's "If there's one thing I've learned from this whole ordeal, it's that I'm a friggin genius!" was replaced for the TV version with "If there's one thing I learned from this whole ordeal, it's that I'm a absolute genius!"

You know, I actually like the "fixed" version quite a bit better. I mean come on, "friggin?" Give me a break.

Jees: "It looks like I'll be getting my bonus and two weeks paid vacation after all!"

Har har. Typical embarrasing FUNimation nonsense dialogue. I just don't understand what their aim is here. Lines like this not only don't make sense, but they simply aren't funny. Not to anyone. And if the line wasn't annoying enough, notice the stupid "boi-oi-oi-oing!" sound effect that they added. Gotta do everything they can to destroy the mood, I guess. They use another one of these lame ass Hanna Barbera sounds after one of Buruma's lines in the next scene. What the HFIL do they think this show is? A stand-up act?

By the way, speaking of Jees, he laughs at one point in this episode and, man! It's terrible! He sounds like one of his teeth got broken out and he's choking on it or something.

OK. This one's in the top five. Top five worst lines EVER in US DBZ. Tenshinhan's "parachutes" thing still holds the title, but this piece of crap is certainly a worthy contender. I don't think I need to say anything else about it, it speaks for itself.

(1 min.) Another of the last group of cuts for time in order to get the episodes synced. This cut actually isn't anything, it's just some drawn out shots of Ginyu powering up, with some narration.
